The project \u201eReplicable integrated interventions for inclusive housing and tackling marginalization in Cluj Metropolitan Area\u201d (Pata 2) aims to continue the process of desegregation in the disadvantaged community from Pata-R\u00e2t, started by the project \u201cPata-Cluj, an integrated approach to social inclusion\u201d, completed on 20 April 2017.

The current project has a twofold general objective:

Firstly<\/strong>, it seeks to reduce the housing, social and economic disparities between the area under Pata-R\u00e2t and the majority population in Cluj-Napoca.

Secondly, <\/strong>it aims to combat the risk of social exclusion among other poor families in the Cluj Metropolitan Area, especially Roma families, but not only , which, in the absence of the support offered by the project, could be constrained by economic and social circumstances to move to Pata-R\u00e2t or other marginalised areas.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Specific aims of the project:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

1. Continue the desegregation of the marginalised urban area Pata-R\u00e2t by ensuring a minimum of 30 decent social housing and the implementation of the\u201eReplicable methodology for Resettlement and Inclusion of low-income families from segregated marginalised areas<\/em>\u201d. The programme will include the selection of beneficiary families, preparation of movement and post-movement assistance for a minimum of 30 families over a period of 36 months.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

2. Facilitate social inclusion for 1.550 people at risk of poverty and social exclusion: 720 residents in the marginalised urban area Pata-R\u00e2t and at least 30 other people at risk of poverty and social exclusion will benefit from support for accessing quality public services (psycho-social, educational, health and urban transport) during the 36 months of the project; A minimum of 800 children in classes 1 to 4 in the metropolitan area will benefit from non-formal education support services that improve their skills, school attendance and reduce drop-out rates.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

3. Increase the institutional capacity to respond to the needs of marginalised groups and by developing the\u201eReplicable methodology for Resettlement and Inclusion of low-income families from segregated marginalised areas<\/em>\u201d, the training of 30 professionals, including relevant staff in the public social welfare service for the implementation of the methodology, the learning from Norwegian good practices, and and formulating in a participatory way a set of public policy recommendations for housing in the 36 months of the project<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The project is carried out at the level of the Municipality of Cluj-Napoca and the Cluj Metropolitan Area, between 18.12.2019 and 18.12.2022. The value of the contract is RON 20.439.118,69, of which the EEA\/Norwegian grant amounts to 17.373.250,88 lei and the public co-financing 3.065.867,80 lei<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
